Our Story
TIMOTHY CREEK RIDING CENTER was founded in 1995 with a deep passion for horses, nature, and fostering community connections. What began as a small local venture has since evolved into one of Coastal South Carolina’s most trusted names in horseback riding and pasture boarding. Over the years, our commitment to creating a welcoming environment for horse lovers has remained at the heart of our operations.
Our Early Years
In the early stages, we focused on offering services that helped newcomers experience the joy of horseback riding. These included trail rides by the hour, perfect for beginners and visitors looking to explore the outdoors from horseback. We also provided horseback riding lessons centered on safety, building confidence, and forming strong connections between horse and rider. Additionally, we hosted special events such as family riding days, seasonal trail rides, and horsemanship workshops, along with about three miles of riding trails winding through scenic woods and open fields.
Growth and Expansion
As our reputation for quality service grew, so did our facilities. Today, TIMOTHY CREEK RIDING CENTER spans an expansive 400 acres, including over 250 acres of beautifully maintained horse trails. Our horse pasture boarding facility covers 50 acres of well-kept pasture, offering a peaceful and secure environment for horses to roam and thrive. With over 30 years of experience, we’ve continued to expand our services while remaining true to our original vision of creating a low-stress, recreational setting for riders and their horses.
